CONSULTING

turning complex challenges into practical ways forward.

Create Connection provides thoughtful, evidence-informed consulting for organisations navigating change, strengthening culture and seeking more meaningful engagement with the people they serve.

We bring together organisational experience, behavioural insight and an understanding of how people think, relate and respond to change. Our role may involve helping leaders make sense of a challenge, shape an approach, involve the right people and translate ideas into practical action.

from complexity to shared direction.

Consulting support is shaped around the context rather than applied as a fixed model.

Global health and community engagement

GLOBAL HEALTH

change is stronger when communities help shape it.

Health strategies and services are more likely to be meaningful when they reflect how people understand their needs, make decisions and experience the systems around them.

Susan contributes to international and cross-cultural work concerned with community demand, engagement and participation. Her work can include bringing together evidence and lived realities, identifying behavioural and relational influences, strengthening approaches to listening and participation, and helping translate insight into practical programme thinking.

This is collaborative work. It recognises local expertise, avoids assuming that one approach will transfer unchanged between contexts, and pays attention to power, access, trust and the conditions that influence participation.

Possible areas of support

  • Strategic thinking and sense-making
  • Evidence and insight synthesis
  • Community engagement approaches
  • Demand-generation strategy
  • Stakeholder and partner consultation
  • Learning, reflection and adaptation

Not every assignment includes all of these; the mix depends on the question and the stage of the work.

HOW SUSAN WORKS

rigorous thinking, human understanding.

Three stages of consulting work: understand the context, work collaboratively, then make insight usable.

  1. understand the context

Listen carefully, review what is already known and clarify the real question beneath the initial brief.

  2. work collaboratively

Bring relevant people and perspectives into the process, with methods suited to the culture, purpose and setting.

  3. make insight usable

Turn discussion, evidence and learning into clear choices, practical recommendations or an approach that can be taken forward.

Susan’s emerging postgraduate study in psychology and neuroscience of mental health is a developing strand of expertise that further informs her interest in behaviour, participation, wellbeing and sustainable change. It is not a claim to clinical or neuroscientific practice.
